A sink base is one of the hardest-working cabinets in any kitchen, so this one skips a center stile and center drawer in favor of a false-front panel that conceals plumbing while still matching the rest of the run. The deep navy Shaker finish is a popular choice for an island or a single accent run against white or light-grey perimeter cabinets, and because it's a painted (not stained) finish, touch-ups blend in more easily than they would on a wood-tone door. Inside, the box is built without a center support so it can accept a standard undermount sink and disposal, and the interior is left unfinished plywood rather than a moisture-sensitive laminate, since this is the cabinet most likely to see the occasional drip. It's sized to match standard 33–36 inch sink base openings, with custom widths available on request.
